Islamic Radicals and Christians in the Middle East

by Rev. A. J. Iovine
When the “Arab Spring” uprisings were taking place, there were very few people warning that there could be some issues with those leading and supporting the revolutions throughout the Middle East. And as we’ve come to learn, radical Islamists are running Libya and promising that Sharia law will be basis for their general constitution. I hate to be a woman in that country in the coming years. Egypt is also under the control of Islamists who have aggressively moved against the small Coptic Christian Church while the military idly sits on the sidelines. Now in Tunisia, radical Islamists are building up their religious power base that will surely lead this so-called moderate Islam state down a road of anger and hatred.

Throughout the Middle East, the numbers of Christians is dwindling. The entire region is seeing a growing hatred and animosity against the Church and those professing faith in Jesus Christ. We need to remember these Christians in our prayers.
