And a happy Friday morning to you all!
If you haven’t taken a look at this weekend’s weather, or you haven’t read my whining post below, this weekend could get slightly challenging around here. Apparently, tomorrow we will be hit with a snowstorm.
Now, our local weathercasters aren’t warning us of a major storm — we could see a few inches, at best. However, there is another issue that Henry Marguisity at Accuweather.com warns everyone in the path of Saturday’s storm to look at for: power outages.
Since this is an early winter storm blasting us in October, our trees are still mostly covered with leaves. When a heavy wet snow falls on top leaf-covered branches, bad things could happen. They could break, falling down onto power lines, and thus knocking out power. Granted, we may be just “too far east” in New Jersey to see something as bad as this, but we need to be aware and prepared.
No matter what, church will be open this weekend — Saturday night at 5pm and Sunday morning at 10am.
I look forward to seeing you.
