Soup Supper Tonight

by Rev. A. J. Iovine

Beginning at 6pm, we’re holding our weekly “Lenten Soup Supper” in Fellowship Hall at church.

Tonight, I made Broccoli and Soybean soup. Now, for those whose taste buds aren’t with the soybean thing, I modified the soup by adding tomatoes and basil. In fact, I actually like this soup better with the added ingredients.

Also with the soup, there will be cheesy croutons – a chunk of toasted bread with a nice helping of melted cheese draped across it.

I made the soup yesterday when I was feeling a bit better (took my chemotherapy treatment today; I’m bushed).

There, of course, will be another soup on display (tonight will be real vegetarian night for everyone — goodie!!) as well as bread, dessert, coffee and tea.

This begins at 6pm with our Lenten Wednesday service kicking off at a new time tonight – 7:15pm.

See you then.
